Our story
Maples Richey is a Mississippi real estate law firm founded in 2020 by two attorneys with complementary backgrounds. Brock Maples came out of the oil and gas industry, where he learned mineral titles from the ground down. Gardner Richey spent five years at First American Title, learning the fundamentals of the land title industry: title searches, underwriting, and title insurance.
Together in Madison, they built a practice that runs the full range of Mississippi real estate: the firm has searched and reported title on more than $13 billion of property — solar farms, timberland, and the mineral title work behind a $10 billion data center campus — and, separately, closed more than $1.86 billion in transactions as closing attorney, many of them first homes in Madison County and the greater Jackson metro area.
Whatever the deal, a first home or a few thousand acres, it gets the same careful read of the record.
