Maddux Richey
Title Abstractor
Maddux joined Maples Richey in the summer of 2026 as a title abstractor. Day to day, when law school is not in session, he handles title work and travels to county courthouses across Mississippi to perform abstracting — tracing a property's ownership history through the public land records. A native of Baldwyn, Mississippi, he earned a Bachelor of Science in economics from Tennessee Technological University in 2025, where he played college football, and is currently a law student at Mississippi College School of Law. His work focuses on title search and examination, including mineral and surface title.
Maddux is Gardner's brother. He and his wife, Bella, are in law school together.
